With Fond Love

I'm looking forward to the weekend...
...to digging around under the eaves in the attic...
...to find my stash of vintage valentines and old candy boxes...
...I know they're in there somewhere!

Do you decorate for Valentine's Day?

I hope your week is going well!
With fond love,
Laura :)

Laura, I was thinking of digging out my old valentine scrapbook and doing some scanning. I could do something with them. I don't really decorate for valentines day, but I have hearts all over the house in one form or another.
Have a great night!

Hi Laura,
I just love vintage greetings cards.
We don't actually celebrate Valentines Day as it is really meant for unrequited love, .... and ours is requited !!....also, I'm not overly happy buying into the rip off florists !! The price of roses quadruples on February 14th.....but, I know that it doesn't have to be like that. But Valentines Day is meant for people to tell someone that they love them secretly but don't get the love back !! XXXX

I love valentines day, I have my vintage valentines out all year long and I also keep my homemade ones out too. I have made a special handmade valentine every year for my husband since we met and I am running behind this year so I have to get on the ball and make his for this year. Have fun hunting down yours!

Hi Laura
Well we don't do Valentine's Day quite the same way here.. It is only for sweethearts. It wasn't something that we celebrated between childhood friends so you just had to wait till you grew up and then wait till you had a boyfriend and then wait till Valentines Day finally came round... then hope the boyfriend was still around hahaha But you vintage card here is lovely. Are you going to decorate??? love to see the results, I'm sure it will be wonderful... Have a great week xx Julie

Have fun digging, Laura. I always want to do a little decorating for Valentine's Day, but never seem to find the time to actually do it :)

I never used to decorate for Valentine's day, but after my daughter got in to it more and more, I wanted to do stuff for her. This year we have a few things out and she loves it.
If you wish, you can see them in my blog

I love your blog, inspirational for another antique hunter like my self... Cant wait to see what you find in your attic.

I love Valentine's Day. What better time to decorate in PINK! I'm having a Valentine Brunch for my closest friends, so I'll decorate for the festivities. Love you blog and I'd love to hear from you!

Hope you can find them - in time for V Day. My home already has a lot of red, so even if I just put one heart out, it looks decorated. Maybe it's the same for you - with all your little hearts?

Our festivities center around the morning kitchen table with a red check tablecloth and red transferware dishes and my grandmother's ruby glassware. We have heart pancakes.

I haven't decorate for Valentine's day since way before my divorce 4 years ago. This year however, I did. I still don't have a VALENTINE to enjoy the decorations with, but I figured, what the heck....I'll enjoy them. Even did a Valentine Craft project that I blogged about. I've come a long way...baby! LOL!

I usually leave the wreath on my door from Christmas up and add to it...like bead hearts, a red bird instead of the gold one, red lace ribbon this year. Inside, again, there is red everywhere and some pink. Tablecloths, candles, even my red dish and bottles in the windowsill...also still from Christmas decor.
Valentine cookies or cupcakes but only on that day, less temptation. And, of course, chocolates.
God Bless

I pulled out my valentine things this week. It's such fun to celebrate this month full of hearts and flowers and special friendships.
Stop by when you get a chance. My table today is all about Valentine's Day.
