Gorgeous lilacs. We don't get them here in Southern California so I just have to enjoy yours!

Such beautiful photos of one of my favorite flowers. Ours bloom later becasue we live at a higher elevation, but I'm noticing them everywhere down in the valley. I think Spring has finally sprung:-)

The biggest drawback living in southern CA is that we don't have the weather for lilacs. I lived in MI for 2 years, and nearly drove off the road everyday with wreckless glee because there were hedgerows of lilacs there. Thank you so much for filling my heart and mind with this beautiful gift of spring, Laura!! These are just so perfect. You are a lucky girl. :)

I've heard they don't grow well here in our climate - so I'll enjoy yours. Are you ever torn between leaving them on the bush, or cutting them for a vase?

How glorious! OK, so far, you've posted on my three VERY favorite bushes - hydrangeas, peonies, and lilacs. Combine that with our shared love of rusty, crusty, chippy, vintage goodness and it's no wonder I've been camped here at your place for so long. ;)

Blessings,
